My vision for this company was birthed out of a long-term passion for fashion and a general dissatisfaction of certain aspects of the current men’s apparel market. After working in the clothing business for several years, I noticed that there were not a lot of choices for men with true style. I wanted quality with fashion and style with class. I wanted to stand out and be seen in different styles that were pulled together to create a unique look.
Believing that I could develop a line of clothing to capture the tastes of young and old while bridging the gap with fashion, I organized a team of artists to capture my designs and build a portfolio. I believe that designs should be timeless, and that’s what I’ve created: timeless designs you can wear for years to come that still won’t lose their style. After several years in the developmental stages, an entire clothing line is ready to be shared with you.
Naturally, I had to come up with a name for my company. The name of my brand comes from my middle name, Eugene, and last name, Turner. I had never been fond of my middle name, but I know my mom liked it, so I wanted to use the “E.” in honor of her. When I see the “E.” I think of my mom resting in heaven. I put the “E.” with part of my last name and came up with E. Turnal – which represents my spiritual awareness, first implanted by my mom.
I’ve been very careful never to forget who I am, always keeping faith and my family first, and always striving to have those values reflect in my work. This is true in every way – from every fabric, every design, and on every garment. So here it is.
E. Turnal Gear is a clothing line for men with an urban feel and a Christian appeal, launching its Signature Series first, with many more designs to be rolled out. E. Turnal Gear is more than just a movement: it’s a lifestyle. It’s fashion from the soul.
